WakeUp is proud to annouce that over 150 runners participated this year, and we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to make it all possible. We would also like to thank all our fantastic volunteers, our sponsors, and Operation Smile for making this such a great event.

We hoped you enjoyed yourselves as much as we enjoyed the day and look forward to seeing you next year!

Photos are uploaded and can be accessed via HERE.

Lastly we also want to reiterate the importance of the pledge we took on the day of the funrun for the Stand Up Against Poverty movement. More than 173 million people gathered across the globe in over 120 countries at “Stand Up, Take Action, End Poverty Now!” events, setting a new Guiness world record for largest mobilization in history to send a message to world leaders that we as global citizens are serious about reaching the UN’s Millenium Development Goals.

For more info on how you contributed by standing up and taking the pledge, please visit www.StandAgainstPoverty.org

WakeUp! is delighted to announce that there will be a FREE Expo of Australian wildlife on show held during the day whilst the running events are on. This is a great chance for the whole family to participate and have fun on the day- the littler ones will especially love the reptiles & mammals who will be on show!

The show will be held courtesy of Australian Wildlife Displays. There will be native animals, including possums, lizards, snake, crocodile, birds and more on show. For more info check out: http://www.austwildlife.com.au/

Other entertainment is still being arranged- including rockbands & activity booths, but it’s looking like it’s shaping up to be a fun day!
